Medial meniscus injury
Mechanism: Occurs due to twisting injuries with the foot being fixed
Medial meniscus is more commonly injured than the lateral meniscus

Signs and symptoms:
Popping sound and severe pain during injury
O/E:
Tenderness on the medial side of the knee
Decreased range of motion of the knee joint
Locking of knee joint on extension( bucket handle tear)
McMurray's sign: snap is felt or heard while slowly extending the leg at the knee from full flexion while simultaneously applying  tibial torsion.
